Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Centre for Advancement of Chinese Language Education & Research (CACLER) within the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 499391), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should possess (i) a Ph.D. degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Cognitive Science or a relevant field; (ii) solid statistical and computing skills; (iii) relevant scholarly publications; and (iv) the ability to communicate effectively both in writing and in oral presentations in Chinese and English.

The appointee will work closely with the Principal Investigator to conduct research under her supervision in a predominantly independent manner, and pursue investigations on behavioral and psychosocial problems related to the teaching and learning of Chinese as a second language and other related research studies. He/She will be responsible for experimental design development; overseeing the timeline of project research outcomes; developing case studies; development and validation of behavioral, psychosocial, and cognitive assessment; training of research assistants; data collection, management, analysis and interpretation; and preparation for publications in peer-reviewed journals. Relevant work experience in managing projects in educational or clinical settings will be an advantage.
