Tenure-Track Faculty Positions in Product and Technology Development, Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation

The Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech) invites applications for tenure-track assistant and associate professor positions with a start date of 1 January 2020 or a mutually agreeable date thereafter. Under special circumstances, senior faculty appointments may be considered.

The Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation is conducting a search for exceptional candidates in any discipline related to product and technology development, systems engineering, and related disciplines. The Center is seeking for innovators interested in engineering research with consideration of use. Successful candidates will be seeking to develop technologies and products to address grand challenges relevant to Russia and to the world in any engineering discipline of interest to the Institute, including:

1. Energy,
2. Electrical Engineering and Computer Science,
3. Healthcare / Life Sciences,
4. Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering,
5. Design, Manufacturing and Materials.

Skoltech is an international graduate university founded in 2011 with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The official working language of the Institute is English. Skoltech’s unique and talented students – which are drawn from Russia and around the world – excel in science, engineering and the commercialization of technology. All Skoltech students, regardless of their core field of science and engineering, engage in a set of courses and learning activities related to innovation and entrepreneurship.

We are seeking highly qualified candidates from top schools worldwide, with interests in research, education, and innovation. Successful candidates will have an active role in developing the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation into a world-class innovation center, developing systems, products and startups based on breakthrough scientific research. Faculty duties include teaching at graduate level, advising students, conducting original scholarly research, developing course materials at graduate level, contributing to innovation activities and service to the Institute and the profession.

Remuneration and research packages are highly competitive at international standards.

Candidates should hold a doctoral degree in a field related to systems engineering and product development, and related disciplines, by the time of application.
