This 2-year post-doctoral position in the laboratory of Professor Juan Burrone is funded by the Wellcome Trust and will investigate the emergence of GABAergic microcircuits by cortical interneurons.  

The Centre for Developmental Neurobiology and MRC Centre for Neurodevelopmental Disorders are world-leading centres in the field of developmental neuroscience and brain disorders, situated in central London.

We are seeking a bright, talented and self-motivated post-doctoral researcher to join our team.  Candidates should have, or be about to obtain, a PhD in Neuroscience and have a background in hippocampal or neocortical physiology.  Experience in fluorescence imaging in vivo is essential, along with experience in animal experimentation and surgery with rodents.  Experience in whole cell patch-clamping ex vivo is desirable. 

This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for 2 years

This is a full-time post
