As a Lecturer, you will carry out research and teaching at the interface between philosophy, religion, and the liberal arts in a School that fully integrates philosophy, religion, and history of science. You will bring a demonstrable commitment to promoting diversity, equality and inclusion in your academic practice, and we welcome especially applications from candidates who will contribute to our efforts to diversify our staff body and decolonise our curriculum. We have particular teaching needs at the moment in the fields of moral philosophy; social and political philosophy; sociology of religion; philosophical and religious ideologies of gender and race. You will be able to teach at all levels of our varied undergraduate programmes, and to provide dissertation supervision. You will also contribute to relevant MA programmes and supervise research students. You will have a PhD in Philosophy, Theology/Religious Studies or cognate discipline and relevant teaching experience. You will also contribute to the effective management of the School, Faculty and wider University.
