We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join the Stroke Research Team within the School of Nursing. The post holder will develop with the support of senior academics programmes of research that are aligned to the research group and will support the provision of high quality research and scholarly activity within agreed thematic areas. The successful candidate will contribute to applications for external competitive grants and publish high impact, peer reviewed papers in collaboration with others. The post-holder will participate in dissemination of research with peers, undergraduate and postgraduate students and external agencies and organisations, as well as collaborating in the on-going supervision of postgraduate students.
The successful applicant will have experience and understanding of research in health care settings demonstrated by a record of involvement in research management and related activities on a number of research/evaluation-based projects. Experience of qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis as well as sound skills in using Word, PowerPoint and Excel are essential to the role.
Educated to first degree level in a relevant area and Master’s degree or equivalent in relevant area, the post holder will be able to evidence their excellent organisation skills with the proven ability to prioritise and meet deadlines with the framework of an agreed programme.
The successful applicant will be flexible, enthusiastic and self-motivated to work alone and carry out a range of research tasks autonomously and also work as part of a team.
