Full/Assistant/Associate Professor-Physics of Van der Waals

Description

The Applied Physics Program seeks a candidate for a faculty position at all levels to strengthen current experimental and theoretical research activities on van der Waals heterostructures. The candidate is expected to seek fundamental understanding of the governing physical phenomena in such materials. From an application point of view, the research should be directed towards critical topics in ultrasmall devices and/or ultrafast applications. Preference will be given to candidates who are able to cover both these areas. On the one hand, the candidate is expected to work closely with theoretical colleagues to establish structure-property relationships. On the other hand, he/she will initiate and accelerate device development.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a proven track record, a relevant Ph.D. degree in Physics or related discipline, and the ability to establish a high-impact research program. They should also have demonstrable commitment to teaching at the graduate level.
