An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Fellow position in Allied Health. The successful candidate will be joining UCLan’s Allied Health Research unit, which comprises of a team of researchers across many Allied Health Professions with a proven track record of high-quality research and grant capture. The successful candidate should be currently undertaking nationally/internationally recognised research in an area associated with Allied Health Neuro-rehabilitation (including stroke).
The candidate will work closely within an academic-clinical partnership with East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust, focussing on developing and implementing research within clinical practice. The role will also involve teaching and supervision of students up to Doctorate level within the School and supporting and inspiring clinicians to conduct research in practice to achieve better outcomes for patients. We are seeking applications from HCPC registered practitioners from physiotherapy, occupational therapy or speech & language therapy, with extensive research expertise.
This post will help to support the further development of the Allied Health Research unit, and the successful candidate will actively contribute to the strategy underpinning sustainability of world-class research at the University.
You should have good communication and teamwork skills, excellent presentation skills, proven research and literature reviewing skills, and have an aptitude for clinical research. The successful candidate will be encouraged to develop their own research ideas and there will be scope to undertake higher training or seek additional funding.
