Project Assistant [Research Delivery Support] 1.0FTE - Fixed term contract until 29th February 2024

This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Assistant to support the UKRI GCRF South-South Migration, Inequality and Development Hub (MIDEQ) based at the Centre for Trust Peace and Social Relations, Coventry University.

The Project Assistant will be part of the MIDEQ Operations Team responsible for supporting the day-to-day project management of this GBP 20 million research project. The Project Assistant will have relevant experience of working on complex collaborative research projects, preferably with knowledge of GCRF or ESRC funding. The post-holder will have excellent interpersonal, communication, IT and processing skills with an ability to manage a varied workload and work on their own initiative.

Some international travel may be required in order to fulfil the duties of this role.

About the programme

The Global Challenges Research Fund is a GBP 1.5 billion UK Government fund and a key component in the delivery of the UK Aid Strategy, tackling global challenges in the national interest.  Coventry University's Professor Heaven Crawley has been awarded funding for the GCRF South-South Migration, Inequality and Development Hub to create a network of research and delivery partners from 12 countries constituting six Global South-South migration 'corridors' between which there is significant migration of people,resources and knowledge. The Hub's overarching objective is to establish an interdisciplinary,evidence-based understanding of the multi dimensional relationships between migration, inequality and development to support the work of policy makers, international organisations, donors and local communities worldwide.
