The NMR service is extremely well equipped, having seven spectrometers housed in a purpose-built suite. The proton resonance frequencies of the seven spectrometers range from 200 to 700 MHz. The primary objective and priority of the service is to support the research activities within the Department of Chemistry. The Solution NMR service provides analytical support and advice to a wide range of internationally leading research groups spanning synthetic organic and inorganic synthesis, chemical biology, supramolecular and macromolecular chemistry. The Solution NMR service also offers a flexible and responsive service to industry and external stakeholders to develop the impact of our research base outside academia. The NMR service also supports NMR provision for undergraduate M.Chem. research projects and advanced teaching laboratories, thus providing a central research and teaching facility that supports all our research, teaching and impact activities.
