Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in Sedimentary Geology in the Department of Earth Sciences (Ref.: 499304), to commence on February 1, 2020 or as soon as possible thereafter for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Geology or a related field, and research experience in one or more of the following broad topics: sedimentology, sedimentary geochemistry, stratigraphy, basin analysis, tectonics, and/or geochronology.  The appointee will conduct field and laboratory based investigations of sedimentary systems at various spatiotemporal scales to better understand earth surface system dynamics.  Enquiries about the post should be sent to Dr. Ryan McKenzie at ryan00@hku.hk.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
