Library and Student Support is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated new member to our Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) team. Our PAL Team is responsible for the Senior Student Learning Assistants (SSLA) and Student Learning Assistants (SLA) programme, peer assisted learning initiatives which run across all faculties in the university.

You will play an important role in the coordination of the administration of the Student Learning Assistants programme, a peer assisted learning initiative where experienced students known as Student Learning Assistants (SLAs) facilitate student learning.

Key tasks include coordinating PAL administrative processes including recruitment of SLAs, developing procedural documentation, matching SLAs to relevant teaching modules, organising training events, observations, evaluations and other peer learning activities; liaising with academic staff and students; and providing general administrative support related to the SLA scheme.

The post would suit an individual who has excellent organisational and planning skills. You will have experience of working with students and staff, be an excellent communicator, a team player and have a flexible approach to working in a complex, busy environment.
