We are passionate about transforming lives through innovative, inclusive and entrepreneurial education and research. Our institution offers an educational experience that engages, challenges and empowers students to reach their full potential, placing students at the heart of everything we do, and delivering a consistent experience across all our campuses and partners.

Now is an exciting time to join us; having celebrated our 25th anniversary of achieving university status, we are looking ahead to the next decade and have devised a compelling strategy that offers a clear roadmap for the future. Setting out our vision, priorities and ambitions for the next ten years, our strategy, published in 2017, positions us to become a distinctive university that is entrepreneurial in nature, strongly focussed on our students and fully inclusive of all who want to study, work or partner with us.

We now seek a Pro Vice Chancellor (International and Partnerships) to provide strategic leadership and management of our International and Partnership activities. As the principal liaison between our University and its collaborative partners, the successful candidate will promote the reputation of ARU, and pursue opportunities for new and innovative international partnerships. The PVC will also play an active role in the development and achievement of the overarching University Strategy as a member of the Corporate Management Team.

Candidates will have excellent management acumen and leadership skills, with proven experience of developing and delivering strategies to support student recruitment.  As a representative of our University to UK and international partners, this role requires exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to persuade, influence and negotiate with others. They will demonstrate good financial insight to support income diversification, including thorough student recruitment, industry engagement and research leadership. Critically, they will align with our values and be passionate about and resolutely committed to a transformative student experience.

We offer an extensive range of benefits including a generous holiday entitlement, occupational pension schemes, training and development opportunities, travel to work scheme and a competitive relocation package.
