Head of Cambridge School of Creative Industries

We offer an educational experience that engages, challenges and empowers students to reach their full potential, placing students at the heart of everything we do, and delivering a consistent experience across all our campuses. Now is an exciting time to join us. In 2017, just after our 25th anniversary of achieving university status, we launched our ‘Designing our Future’ strategy, setting out our vision, priorities and ambitions for the next ten years. This roadmap positions us to become a distinctive university, transforming lives through innovative, inclusive and entrepreneurial education and research.

Reporting to the PVC and Dean of Faculty, the Head of the Cambridge School of Creative Industries will hold strategic responsibility for the leadership of the School, working collaboratively as a member of the Faculty Leadership Team to steer an integrated approach to the development and delivery of the Faculty’s vision and strategy.

You will provide academic and professional leadership to ensure the development and delivery of the School’s strategic and operational plans, optimising performance by working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver in line with School, Faculty and University priorities, ensuring innovative and high quality, sustainable future provision.

A well connected and transformative leader with an excellent knowledge of the Creative Industries in the UK and globally, you will be able to demonstrate strong and collegiate, interdisciplinary working in pursuit of a sustainable and engaging portfolio at all levels.

Experienced in developing and delivering strategy, leading academics and professional service colleagues, delivering an engaging student experience and a vibrant research and innovation agenda, you will also have managed budgets and delivered against key metrics. You will ideally have an expert knowledge of relevant external bodies, including PSRB and QAA requirements alongside a demonstrable understanding of both relevant UOA for REF and subject level TEF requirements.
