Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Microbiology (Ref.: 499257), to commence in March 2020 for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in microbiology, microbial bioinformatics, or a related discipline, with previous training and/or work experience in bioinformatics analysis of microbial genomes and/or Oxford nanopore technology.  Those with publications in antimicrobial resistance genomics research would have an advantage.  The appointee will mentor junior research staff, write research proposals and apply for grants, exercise existing skills and explore new options.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview.  The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. P. L. Ho.
