UTS Business School is currently looking to fill the position of Head of UTS Programs (Shanghai). This role will provide support and oversight to both staff and students engaged in the UTS Business School’s degrees offered in conjunction with SHU-UTS SILC Business School at Shanghai University.

Detailed Description

UTS Business School, part of the University of Technology Sydney, delivers a broad range of degree programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and through its executive development programs. It is also recognised internationally for its innovative research. UTS Business School is the largest Faculty at UTS and one of the largest business schools in Australia, with over 10,000 students and 350 staff.

SILC is a partnership between UTS, UTS:Insearch, and Shanghai University.  This partnership started in 1994 as a pathway program and the BBus (Shanghai) was introduced in 2002; there are postgraduate programs as well. SILC has an annual intake of around 800 students and there are about 2,400 students enrolled in total across the 4-year program, with around 800 enrolled in the BBus (Shanghai).

As the Head of UTS Programs (Shanghai), you will be based offshore in Shanghai at SHU-UTS SILC Business School (SILC), Shanghai University and will be engaged in research, teaching and administrative responsibilities in Shanghai with respect to the program. You may also be involved in designated work for the University’s International division under the guidance of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International).

You will be required to attend meetings in Sydney from time to time.

To be success in the role you will possess:

• Teaching and educational development experience at a tertiary level
• Knowledge of, and/or experience with, Chinese business culture
• Experience in people management and conflict management
• Experience in the preparation of course quality assurance documentation

Remuneration & Benefits

A competitive salary and benefits package will be offered at a level up to the equivalent to the UTS Associate Professor/ Professor at level D or E, dependant on experience.  This appointment will be a three-year fixed-term appointment with a possibility to extend
