Job description

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Volunteering and Sustainability Coordinator to join our Student Life Team, as part of the team you will help to ensure that all students have access to a wide range of fun, exciting and rewarding volunteer opportunities.  You will also   Co-ordinate the development and delivery of regular events / activities to promote student participation in ‘Student Life’ including Sustainability, Safer Living, Mental Health and Wellbeing.

The successful post holder will identify volunteer opportunities; support and advise Coventry University students of volunteering activities, and assist with the planning of events and projects. To carry out this role you will need experience of working in the voluntary or educational sector together with experience of developing volunteering activities.

You will have excellent literacy, numeracy and computer skills, including use of all Microsoft applications. You will also be highly skilled in administrative duties with the ability to develop strong links and partnerships within the HE sector, and the ability to motivate and engage students and volunteers.

This post is temporary for 6 months until end of May 2020, working 37.5 hours per week . A flexible approach to working hours is required.
