The University has a large breadth of railway research expertise and is currently developing a new Institute for High Speed Railway and Systems Integration. Highlights of the new institute include:

  1. Significant investment to develop a world leading railway vehicle test facility

Your role will focus on developing a third and complimentary testing facility, which is mobile and capable of performing in-situ tests on railway lines to determine track health.

You will have a PhD (or close to completion) in a topic closely aligned with mechanical engineering, with knowledge of mechanical system design, and of electrical and/or hydraulic system design.
