The School of Media and Communication at the University of Leeds is a highly ranked department with a vibrant research culture and a commitment to excellence in teaching. 

The School seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Digital Media to join us from September 2020. Research into digital media takes place across the School, with a shared focus on the influential role of digital media in society, including the use of digital methods in civic participation, the role of visual digital media in shaping how we see the world, and the increasing centrality of data and digital infrastructures in everyday life.

We welcome applications from candidates conducting cutting edge research that engages with contemporary and important digital media debates. You will have a PhD in media and communication studies (or a related subject), a developing record of research commensurate with the level of the post, and a clear indication of the ability to achieve internationally recognised standards of excellence. You will be a committed teacher and outstanding communicator able to contribute to teaching and administrative activities in media and communication.
