The successful candidate will play a key role in a new exciting project funded by an AWE William Penney Fellowship held by King’s College London.

The fellowship is part of a multi-disciplinary project with the ambitious goal of advancing the state-of-the-art in decision-support systems for monitoring nuclear weapons to inform future negotiated nuclear disarmament arrangements.

Specifically, the work will focus will be responsible for conducting research on visual analytics, agent-based simulation and game theory, particularly for resource monitoring and allocation.

Key aspects of the work will involve; building software infrastructure for the project, developing a prototype interface for communicating with users, designing and conducting experiments with human subjects based on the use cases that will be co-created with the project partners.

The successful candidate will join the HCC group and will be able to contribute and get involved in various departmental hubs, including the Security and Trusted Autonomous Systems Hubs.

This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for 24 months until 30 August 2021.

This is a full-time post.

The selection process will include a panel interview, an assessment, a presentation.
