Department of Marketing and International Business

The Department of Marketing and International Business (http://www.LN.edu.hk/mkt) would like to invite applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Associate Professor / Assistant Professor. The appointee is expected to conduct high quality research which leads  to publication in top tier journals. He/She will be required to teach, conduct research and perform service. He/She is also expected to apply for external competitive research grants. The Department offers undergraduate, postgraduate and full-time Master of Science in Marketing and International Business programmes.

General Requirements

Applicants should have a PhD degree in Marketing or relevant discipline. The  appointee is expected to teach courses in major areas of Marketing and conduct research for publications in leading journals. For appointment as Associate Professor, applicants should have at least five years of relevant experience and a strong track record in research and scholarly activities. For  appointment as Assistant Professor, applicants should have outstanding research potential and some teaching experience.

Lingnan University is fully committed to the pursuit of excellence in both teaching and research. The appointee should demonstrate commitment to teaching and research excellence. Applicants are required to provide information on their research records and evidence of quality teaching.  Administrative experience will be an advantage.

Appointment

The conditions of appointment will be competitive. The rank and remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund, gratuity, housing benefits and incoming passage and baggage allowance for the eligible appointee.

Appointment will normally be made on an initial contract of three years, which, subject to review and mutual agreement, may lead to longer-term appointment with possibility of consideration for substantiation.
