Applications are invited for appointment as Tenure-Track Assistant Professor jointly held in  the School of Nursing and the School of Public Health under the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 499179), to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal and with consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second three-year fixed-term contract.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree or an equivalent qualification in nursing, public health or health services research. They should be active in research, with a track record in both research publications and competitive research grants applications. They should also demonstrate an interest and experience in teaching.  Preference will be given to those who have demonstrated abilities in health services research in nursing, public health, primary care, analysis of big clinical data, and evaluation of chronic disease healthcare services and management.  An excellent command of spoken and written English, knowledge of medical statistics/health informatics, and skills of using advanced statistics software are required.  The appointee will be responsible for developing research programmes on nursing, public health and primary care services, and contribute to teaching at undergraduate/postgraduate levels and service/administration in the Schools and the Faculty.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.  Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
