When you work in Jersey you will experience a different way of life. Against the backdrop of our beautiful island setting, our communities face a variety of health and wellbeing challenges. We are committed to facing these challenges head-on, intertwining the skills of our talented multidisciplinary staff with a healthcare system that encourages linked-up services and collaborative team-work. Away from the jurisdiction of the NHS, we adapt to the needs of islanders and seek to give them the best quality of life.
Joining our Higher Education department, you will be part of a team developing the skills and knowledge of our enthusiastic healthcare practitioners. Working across both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, you will encourage a supportive learning environment in which our staff can attain a variety of qualifications such as Bachelor of Nursing, MSc Nursing, MSc Professional Studies, MSc Advanced Practice and BSc Professional Practice and maintain cutting-edge knowledge.
Fundamental to this role, you will lead on the delivery of the Non-Medical Prescribing programme. Developing all relevant resources and coordinating these programmes, you will also undertake, publish and supervise primary research and instil a love of education and learning amongst your students.
Passionate about sharing your knowledge – which you will have gained in a previous Higher Education (HE) role – you will have a minimum of five years’ teaching experience in HE, reinforced by a postgraduate certificate in Education and membership of Advance HE. With a Masters’ degree in the area of advanced practice/professional practice, you will either have or be working towards a doctoral level qualification. You will also need comprehensive organisational skills, as you will be responsible for maintaining the university standards that apply to BSc and MSc programmes.
This position is a unique opportunity to make a significant difference to the lives of others. Our commitment to ‘care rediscovered’ starts at home and in furthering the skills of our enthusiastic staff – thereby helping them rediscover their passion for care – you will secure the future wellbeing of Jersey’s residents. Join us today, and support us as we put this important ethos into practice.
