Hours: Full Time (37hrs per week)

Leeds Arts University is the only specialist arts university in the North of England. We have contributed significantly to the development of arts education for over 170 years, and have developed a national and international reputation based on the achievements of our students and staff.

The post holder will manage the media relations function for the University and aim to increase coverage across print, broadcast media, online and blog sites at a regional, national and international level. The post holder will be the main contact for media and will monitor and evaluate any coverage that the University receives and will provide written reports to the Senior Management Team.

Other duties will include planning, developing and implementing communications campaigns, researching and writing website content and working with other members of the Marketing team to develop and plan social media output. The role requires a high standard of factual and editorial accuracy, a strong eye for detail and the ability to comply with University guidelines to ensure consistency.

The successful candidate will need to be educated to a minimum of degree level from a Marketing, PR Business or other related discipline or hold a CIPR qualification, have experience in PR/Communication and have an understanding of PR campaigns. They will also have an understanding of different social media platforms and experience of working within an art and design related field would be desirable.
