Research Assistant (Major Sport Events and Parasport Participation: Investigating Post-Event Opportunities and Experiences)

Fixed Term (0.6 fte for 9 months)

£30,046 to £35,844 per annum pro rata

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic fixed term Research Assistant with relevant experience to join the team. You will work closely with the Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator, undertaking semi-structured interviews and go-along interviews with key informants across Glasgow and Ayrshire mostly, organising and co-facilitating a series of deliberative events, and analysing key project documents, and data.  You will also be involved in the drafting of documents and articles.

Applicants should have an Honours degree in Social Sciences, Sport Studies, Event Studies or Disability Studies, or a relevant Masters degree, along with experience of research, conducting interviews and analysing data. Understanding or experience of the field of Events, Sport or Disability Studies would be advantageous, as would any knowledge of social inclusion. Primarily based on the Paisley Campus but with some travel across Glasgow, Ayrshire and very occasionally further afield.
