The successful candidate will lead and develop a team to support the learning, teaching and research goals of the University. S/he will play a key role in the promotion of the Library within the University and in the wider library environment. As a member of the library senior management team s/he will participate in library-wide decision-making and university and national activities.

The successful candidate will be appointed at Sub-Librarian level. In keeping with MU Library’s strong track record in providing staff development opportunities, s/he will be expected to avail of opportunities to participate in senior management training programmes.

Sub-Librarian salary scale (2019): €58,161 – €91,466 p.a. (7 points)

Appointment will be made in accordance with the Department of Finance pay guidelines.

*New entrants to the public sector will be appointed on the first point of the above scale.
