The University of Glasgow is changing and Research is at the forefront of that change.

Accountable to the Executive Director of Research & Innovation for the overall planning, organisation and management of service delivery in the University of Glasgow Research Hub in order to implement and realise the benefits of the Full Business Case. This includes:

  • Project management during the construction phase to ensure that all non-construction aspects of the operating model (e.g. activities programme, personnel, financial plan) are in place ahead of building opening.
  • Planning and operational management to deliver both the day to day outcomes and wider aspirations of the Research Hub when the building is open.
  • Line-management responsibility for the Research Hub operations team including Managerial, Professional and Administrative (MPA) staff as well as technical and operational staff.
  • Performance management of support staff in the Research Hub who are line-managed through professional services other than Research and Innovation Services.

Salary will be on the Management, Professional and Administrative Grade, level 9, £52,560 - £59,135 per annum.

New entrants to the University will be required to serve a probationary period of 6 months.

The successful applicant will be eligible to join the Universities’ Superannuation Scheme. Further information regarding the scheme is available from the Superannuation Officer, who is also prepared to advise on questions relating to the transfer of Superannuation benefits.
