Applications are invited for appointment as Non-Tenure Track Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology (Ref.: 499146), to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
Applicants should possess: (i) a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in biological or biomedical sciences; (ii) expertise and experience in research areas including gastrointestinal cancer genetics, genomics and cell biology; (iii) research expertise in human organoid models of cancer; and (iv) a strong track record of high quality publications and competitive research grants. Reporting to Professor S.Y. Leung, the appointee will have key responsibilities in leading research programme in the specified area, as well as participating in the teaching of both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The appointee will also be responsible for developing research programmes on health and primary care services, and contributing to service and administration in the Department and the Faculty. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
