The Department of Real Estate, School of Design and Environment (SDE), The National University of Singapore (NUS) invites applications for TWO full-time, tenurable positions in real estate and urban planning. The appointment at Assistant Professor level will start from July 2020.

The Department aspires to advance holistic knowledge of real estate and urban development for sustainable and inclusive urbanization in Asia through innovative research and teaching. The Department has an excellent research track record and connection with global research communities in real estate, urban economics and city planning. Strong research support is provided by NUS Institute of Real Estate and Urban Studies (IREUS) and we offer competitive remuneration and other benefits. While we seek candidates with outstanding research in broad areas relating to urban and real estate economics, real estate finance and investment and urban planning, those with backgrounds in environmental planning and urban development, and public policy are also encouraged to apply.

Candidates should possess a doctoral degree (or expect such a degree to be conferred at the time of appointment) and have a commitment to research and teaching excellence. The appointee will be involved in teaching at undergraduate and/or graduate levels, and undertake administrative duties, where required.

The Search Committee will be meeting potential candidates at the AREUEA-ASSA Conference to be held in San Diego, California 3-5 January 2020 for those who are attending the conference. Campus visits will be planned in January/ February 2020 for selected candidates.
