We are looking for a talented senior research associate in genetic epidemiology for 3 years to lead a study to identify genetic and environmental risk factors for cleft.
The Medical Research Council have funded the project which will use genome wide association study data from a large UK wide cohort study of children born with a cleft and their families (The Cleft Collective) to uncover risk factors for cleft. In this project the appointed person will carry-out both GWAS and Mendelian randomization analysis and will also make use of the trio data available from the cohort.
The successful applicant will work with the Cleft Collective team, in particular the genetic epidemiologists within the team, and will also be a part of the MRC Integrative Epidemiology Unit which offers excellent training opportunities and support for research. The appointed person will also work closely with collaborators at the University of Bonn.
