The Division of Education offers a variety of programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. These include courses in initial teacher education, early years, community education, and languages. We have an exciting portfolio of Master’s programmes as well as a professional doctorate and healthy postgraduate research numbers. There are around 40 academic staff in the Division, supported by professional service colleagues.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the School of Education & Social Sciences for an enthusiastic lecturer.
Self-motivated and able to work as part of the Initial Teacher Education team, you will lead the Science provision on our PGDE Secondary, PGDE Primary, and BA Education programmes. You will be involved in developing the curriculum within the School, supporting initial teacher education students, and have opportunities to contribute more widely across the School’s portfolio. You will undertake research and scholarly activity within one of the School’s research centres. GTCS registration, or eligibility for such, is a requirement of the post.
The post is full-time and based at the Ayr campus. You will need to travel to other campuses, and internationally, where required.
