Full Time, Fixed Term (12 months - Maternity Cover)

Applications are invited for the post of Placement and Year in Industry Administration Officer to support the School of Business & Management with their Year in Industry programme and the Placement Year.

The Placement and Year in Industry Administration Officer will report to and work as part of the Placements and Student Experience Team in the Careers & Employability Service. However, they will be primarily assigned to and based in the School of Business & Management to support the delivery of the Year in Industry programmes in the School.

The post holder will be responsible for promoting the above mentioned placements programmes to students and employers, including supporting events and maintaining communications through a range of channels. Furthermore, the successful candidate will prepare students for their year in industry and support them throughout the placement journey, including undertaking workplace visits. The appointee will also administer all aspects of the Year in Industry programmes, issuing paperwork and maintaining accurate placement records for each student.

The appointee will require a high level of attention to detail and organisation skills, the ability to work under pressure and to resolve problems effectively. The successful candidate will also have experience of building effective relationships and of working in a strongly customer-focused environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are also essential as is computer literacy in MS Office.

The post is based in Egham, Surrey where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.

This is a fixed term post to cover a period of maternity leave from January to December 2020. This appointment could end earlier than expected should the substantive post-holder return to work early.
