An opportunity has a risen to join an award winning, fast paced and forward looking HR team at Lancaster University. The HR Service Delivery Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering a consistent and high quality HR Service to over 4000 staff. This role is responsible for leading the Payroll, HR Administration and Recruitment teams and will deliver a robust customer focused operational service, driving significant service improvements and creating clear commercial value for our customers. The role will also play a key role in ensuring the University’s continued compliance in a number of people related areas including with UKVI, Pensions and Disclosure & Barring as well as leading on audits in these areas.

As the ideal candidate you will have an excellent customer focused ethos, and your engaging style enables you to influence a range of stakeholders both internal and external to the University. With your determination to succeed and drive for results, you will demonstrate initiative and lead by example. You will also have the ability to prioritise in a busy operational environment and lead continuous improvement projects from start to completion. 

Working collaboratively comes naturally to you and you will quickly develop effective partnerships with peers, turning strategies and initiatives into practical solutions to aid service delivery. With your business acumen and eagerness to exploit technological solutions where possible, you will soon be developing the HR function’s capacity and capability to deliver first class pensions, recruitment, payroll and HR services that meet service requirements and strategic needs.

With numerous exciting developments in the pipeline for the University, you will support the HR Leadership Team, in particular the Deputy Director of HR in managing large scale transformational change projects which will contribute to the University’s aim to consistently be in the top 10 of UK universities and top 100 internationally.

This is a full time, indefinite role.
