We are seeking to appoint an Academic Support Librarian within the Information Services Directorate. This is a vital post within the Library’s Academic Support and User Services team, and will provide high quality, innovative and user-focussed services to students, academic staff and researchers at UWS. 

The team deliver all professional aspects of the library’s academic and research support activity to ensure maximum impact at the University. The post holder will take a proactive approach to building strong relations with academics, students, and other colleagues within the Information Services Directorate. This post will have a specific responsibility within a designated School, currently the School of Health and Life Sciences (as lead for Life Sciences), and be based primarily at our Lanarkshire Campus.

You will have a first degree and a postgraduate library and information science qualification; or a first degree in library and information science, information management, or equivalent. You will be a proactive and organised individual with experience of working in an academic library environment. Self-motivated, and with excellent interpersonal skills, you will have high level planning skills to organise and prioritise your workload to meet deadlines.
