Stage 2 of La Trobe’s $150 million Sports Park development is expected to be complete by January 2020, housing a state of the are teaching and research facility, an elite performance space and world class sporting facilities to support major sports events, regular grass roots competitions and community recreation opportunities for up to 10,000 local community members per week.
About the position
The Social Sport & Program Delivery Supervisor will support the Aquatic & Community Programs Coordinator to deliver the sport programs and bookings delivered by La Trobe Sport. They will arrange and support internal and external activities; collate and record relevant information/documentation and ensure activities/events are administered efficiently. The role will provide support and guidance to casual staff through on the job training/coaching.
The Program Delivery Supervisor will be required to work outside regular work hours on a rotating roster dependent on sport facility bookings, and act as the building warden and duty manager to ensure facility operational standards are maintained.
Skills and Experience
To be successful you will have relevant qualification in sport management or a combination of relevant experience and education/training in a similar role. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills as well as a flexible attitude to work are essential for the role. Your ability to prioritise, work independently and as part of a team will be highly regarded. Knowledge of community sport programs and organising sporting competitions will be invaluable in this role
