Job description
An opportunity has arisen within the School of Nursing for registered nurses (Child) to join our highly committed as Lecturers. The successful applicants will be enthusiastic and visionary and keen to shape nurse education.
The successful applicants will deliver the children’s pre-registration nursing curricula including, post graduate studies and research. There will be an expectation that the successful candidates will teach across a range of courses and will be able to act as module leader. The School of Nursing delivers nursing courses at Preston, Burnley and Westlakes campuses.
Applicants must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and be educated to at least degree level. A master’s degree and a postgraduate teaching qualification is desirable. Utilising planning and organisational skills, communication and interpersonal skills the successful applicant will be able to work both independently and collaboratively.
Contemporary practice experience is essential and you will have a keen interest in developments in the field. Experience of mentoring, assessing and supervising student nurses in practice is required. You’ll be committed to the success of your students and be able to show that you can effectively support learning and teaching in both the classroom and in practice.
