This is an exciting opportunity to join the Estates Services Department. The role is within the Maintenance Section working as part of a small team. The main purpose of this role is to manage a professional, customer focused, and statutory compliant asset maintenance function supporting the University Estate. Managing a high level of standards throughout the delivery of engineering planned maintenance. Additionally, to act as an expert technical point of contact for the management of asbestos and water hygiene across the University Estate.
The successful candidate will have suitable post qualification experience in the public or private sector and a proven track record of delivering effective planned building maintenance and operational understanding of statutory compliance.
Essential qualification required for this role are a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject, formal health and safety training and a NEBOSH National Certificate.
The role will require the Maintenance Compliance Asset Manager to manage the compliance arrangements for the University Estate. Along with reviewing planned maintenance programmes to ensure testing and servicing schedules comply with current statutory legislation, through KPI reporting. Whilst ensuring good practice in relation to the management of external contractors.
