The role

The Department of Computer Science at Durham University seeks to appoint a number of Assistant Professors in Computer Science (Grade 7 or 8), or Associate Professors (Grade 9) for appropriately qualified candidates. A successful candidate will have research and teaching interests across the broad spectrum of Computer Science. The Department has current strengths in Computer Vision & Graphics, AI, Human-Computer Interactions, and High Performance Computing but we encourage applications from any area of applied Computer Science. The Department already has a large research group in algorithms, complexity and discrete mathematics (ACiD) and we do not intend to appoint candidates in this research area. Nevertheless, applicants with research interests which create research linkages within the Department, including with ACiD, are welcome to apply.
