This is an excellent opportunity to develop and enhance your experience as a fire fighter and join the Cranfield Airport Fire Service Management Team.

As RFFS/Ops Crew Manager at Cranfield Airport you will be an integral part of the management team and play a key role in the strategies relating to equipment, resources, training and the future development of the service. You will lead and manage a crew within the RFFS on site ensuring that they remain in a constant state of readiness and are able to respond to any report incidents as needed. In addition you will organise day to day operations that would include the completion of Airport Ops, testing equipment, fire drills, fitness activities and taking responsibility for training records.

As a minimum to meet the requirements of this role you will already hold Valid Crew Manager Certificate of Competence issued by an approved training provider (CAA) and will be able to demonstrate that you have the require experience gained working in an operational role within the Fire Service. You will also be able to demonstrate the necessary skills to manage and motivate a team to achieve and maintain the required standards.

To meet the requirements of this role you must have a full valid UK driving licence, be medically fit and able to meet the required fitness standards for Fire Fighters and be willing to undertake regular theoretical and practical training. Previous aviation fire-fighting experience (Civil Aviation Authority - CAA approved certification) would be an advantage.
