The successful candidate will join a team of researchers in Bristol supporting work to characterise how circadian rhythm affects different cell types and regulates deposition of the structural matrix protein collagen in zebrafish. The work will contribute to a 5-year UKRI-BBSRC-funded sLoLa project entitled “Opportunities to modulate extracellular matrix secretion and assembly for long term health” awarded to groups at the University of Bristol and Manchester.
The successful applicant will join a close-knit and enthusiastic research team. The role will involve supporting the day-to-day running of the project, generating, maintaining and genotyping transgenic zebrafish lines and performing a range of research tasks.
Previous experience working with animal models is essential. Previous experience working with zebrafish is highly desirable. The successful applicant will be highly organised and be able to work well with others and as a member of a team and will ideally have a genuine interest in research.
