Job description

We are looking for a Training and Development Manager to join our team. Equate Scotland is the national expert organisation on women's under-representation in science, engineering, technology and the built environment. We are hosted by and partner with Edinburgh Napier University.

We are based in the heart of Edinburgh city centre in the Edinburgh Napier University Craiglockhart campus. We work with industry, academia, the Scottish Government and public bodies to make tangible and sustainable change, enabling more women to study and work in these key sectors. The role

The role is central to our employer and academic stakeholder engagement to support them to implement gender equality initiatives and culture change methods. This role is responsible for the management of our career services for women and has lead responsibility to meet funding objectives within budget and meet income generation targets.

This role is ideal for someone with a proven track record on organisational/strategic development and who has significant experience in training design and delivery. Ideally the candidate will also have line management experience.

Who we are looking for

Applicants must demonstrate:

  • Significant experience in training workshop design and delivery
  • Experience of delivering advice and consultancy to develop organisational strategies and policies
  • Experience of stakeholder manager
  • Experience of budget management and funder reporting
  • Attention to detail 
  • Excellent team working
  • Ability to work to deadlines and use initiative.  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
