Job description

Coventry University is seeking a senior academic to fill the role of Professor and to lead the Behaviour and Implementation Science theme within the Research Centre for Intelligent Healthcare, which is based in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences.

The Centre aims to become globally recognised for pioneering and opinion-setting research in the area of digital healthcare and for its contribution to improving communities and enriching and prolonging individuals' lives. Such technologies must be underpinned by evidence-based health research and the Centre's missionis to provide this evidence through development and evaluation of health(care) interventions, products and services.

Our Centre is strengthened by our links with companies, hospitals, public health bodies and through our advisory board, honorary staff, and associates. We also have a growing community of PhD students who contribute to a vibrant and thriving research environment. Our multidisciplinary team and vision is evidenced across the three core themes within the centre:

  • Behaviour & Implementation Science
  • Epidemiology, Evidenced Based Healthcare
  • Prototype Design Testing & Regulation

You will be joining a forward-thinking, progressive University, and a newly created Research Centre embarking on an exciting journey in health and healthcare interventions. The role will provide the right candidate with considerable opportunity to lead and shape the Theme's and Centre's strategy and vision.
