The School of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Lincoln is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Sociology to add to our existing teaching and research strengths. This is a fixed term position to cover for Dr Anna Tarrant whilst she holds a UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship.
The University of Lincoln’s School of Social and Political Sciences is a growing department within a university that has established a reputation as one of the most dynamic and fastest growing universities in the UK.
It is an exciting time to be joining our student-focused and research-driven staff in further developing our intellectual identity and community. We are seeking an individual who will share our enthusiasm in this process, and contribute to the continued strengthening of research and teaching within the School.
Consideration will be given in the appointment process to how candidates and their research areas enhance the School’s existing strengths in terms of excellent and engaged research and teaching. Specialisms in urban sociology and/or family sociology are desirable but not essential.
The successful candidate will develop their own and the School's profile, as well as enriching the academic environment and impact of the School, and of the College of Social Science of which it forms a part.
