The University of Lincoln is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Research Development Manager to join our expanding pre-award team. The post holder will support academic colleagues to secure significant research funding, growing the University's research portfolio and advancing our reputation for world-class research. The post holder will play a key role in identifying opportunities, developing research collaborations, supporting strategic applications, and helping to secure research funding.

The post holder will lead the pre-award team at Research and Enterprise, develop and coordinate large, strategic funding applications, work with academic staff from early career researchers to senior leaders on research grants, and contribute to a wide range of activities intended to enhance the research environment (for example internal funding schemes or research development events).

We are looking for a candidate with significant experience in generating research funding that can demonstrate strong strategic and project management capabilities with diplomacy, negotiation skills and an ability to work well across functions and academic disciplines. A proactive outlook together with demonstrable experience of networking and influencing key stakeholders including research funders is essential.
