Overview

Two exciting opportunities exist to join the Research Contracts and Funding Team within Research Services to support ECU’s world class research.

The Research Contracts and Funding Team provide expert advice and administrative support to ECU researchers and you will be responsible for effectively managing post-award research grant administration and recording of research grant information for the university. You will also negotiate research contracts with a variety of organisations including government, profit/not for profit, as well and international organisations, and will ensure contracts align with the project, ECU requirements and government policy.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Experience in a high-level administration role preferably in the higher education, government or the research sector. 
  • Knowledge and an awareness of agreements, with the capability and willingness to develop further expertise.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to understand and interpret complex documentation. 
  • Customer focus with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a small team. 
  • High level of computer literacy including working with Microsoft Office applications, as well the ability to efficiently and accurately enter data into database systems.
  • An ability to communicate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders at different levels to achieve positive outcomes.

Benefits & Remuneration

The part-time 0.8FTE, ongoing position attracts remuneration of $70,503 to $78,522 (HEW 5) pro-rata plus University superannuation contribution.

The full-time, 12 month fixed-term position attracts remuneration of $70,503 to $78,522 (HEW 5) pro-rata plus University superannuation contribution.
