Job description

We are seeking candidates of outstanding quality to support research activity in the £30m expansion of engineering provision at the University of Central Lancashire. All candidates must have extensive experience of research grant capture, an outstanding publication record, experience of research collaboration with industry, a substantial record of PhD student completion, excellent communication skills and demonstrate enthusiasm for the subject of engineering.

Successful candidates will have led and supported a substantial research programme of research in a specialist area relevant to at least one topic of existing research activity within the School and be able to demonstrate internationally outstanding research credentials.

The role will involve working with senior research staff to broaden and extend research operation within the School of Engineering. This will include contributions to: increasing external grant capture, increasing the volume of research publication output, increasing engagement with industry and supporting the existing Professoriate in managing and developing the research infrastructure. A willingness to support developing research programmes and early career researchers is also expected.
