About the role

The Associate Director, Wellbeing Services leads the delivery of services focussed on enabling our scholarly community to thrive, with service areas spanning health, counselling and psychological services, the Chaplaincy unit, and the student equity and disability support service.

Importantly, service provision extends to members of staff to enable positive outcomes for our students, through promoting a culture of wellbeing as a key enabler of academic excellence.

About you

  • A tertiary qualification with significant management experience in a large complex organisation, preferably in the higher education sector, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and or education/training
  • Experience in the leadership of clinical services, working with a cohort of highly-qualified staff, and in the management of complex client matters.
  • Conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills, resulting in the development, delivery and evaluation of new ideas and innovative safety-focussed services/programs
  • High level consultation and negotiation skills, to effectively manage and enhance relationships and partnerships, ensuring the effective resolution of critical incidents.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication and organisational skills including tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to provide high level advice to senior management on relevant strategic and operational objectives, particularly safety-related topics
