As a Clinical Lecturer (Placement innovation), you will carry out a key teaching and strategic role within the school, faculty and university and contribute to academic leadership in the field of Primary Care and within the school and faculty.

The clinical landscape is changing; more people are being treated in a community setting. GP practices are also working differently with the rise of Federations and the development of Primary Care Networks. As a School of Medicine we want to ensure the best placement opportunities for our students and we are looking for a new member of our team to join us to make this happen. You would join the Quality Assurance team working on clinical placements and would also be involved in development and delivery of teaching activity within the university.

You will draw on clinical experience to underpin and carry out first class teaching and student support. Being clinically active you will contribute to the delivery of up to date, excellent educational programmes responsive to the needs of the current and future primary care workforce at undergraduate level for medical students, as well as developing educational scholarship relevant to the needs of the Academic Unit of Primary Care.
