The University of Lincoln is looking to the future where we serve and develop our local, national and international communities by creating purposeful knowledge & research, confident & creative graduates and a dynamic & engaged workforce. We will achieve this through a culture of enterprise and innovation. We are recruiting for two College Research Officers to strengthen our research support teams:

  • College Research Officer at Research and Enterprise (Pre-Award funding support)
  • College Research Officer in the College of Arts (Post-Award funding support)

The College Research Officer at Research and Enterprise is the first point of contact for academic colleagues looking to identify potential funding sources. Responsible for costing funding applications for research, consultancy and training and development activity, this role is a key component of the pre-award team that provides support to academics from the research idea conception phase to preparation and submission of applications.

The College Research Officer at the College of Arts provides pro-active support to academic colleagues in the delivery of grant-funded activity from the time of project set-up to the reporting of completed projects. The post requires working closely with academics to plan delivery, liaise with different stakeholders, solve problems and achieve milestones. The post holder will also work very closely with the College Director of Research on administrative and financial duties in support of the research activity in the College of Arts.

Considerable interaction with academic colleagues and research support staff is required for both positions in order to develop effective networks and a flexible support service that responds to the fluctuating nature of funding calls.

We are looking for candidates who are well organised, effective communicators and problem solvers, have excellent prioritising skills and are able to work to deadlines and under pressure.

There is a single recruitment campaign for these two positions. Please note in your application if you have a preference for one of the posts.

This position does not fulfil the UK Visas & Immigration sponsorship criteria for Tier 2.
