Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in Informal Property Market in the Department of Real Estate and Construction (Ref.: 498879), to commence on December 1, 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter, for one to two years, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in the field of Real Estate Economics, Institutional Analysis or other related disciplines.  They should have proficiency in written and spoken English, comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of the operations of both the formal and informal housing market in Hong Kong, a track record of research dissemination including peer-reviewed publications, and the ability to work independently and as a team.  Those with experience in collaborative studies with non-governmental organizations are preferred.

The appointee will carry out household surveys, statistical analysis, and comparative institutional studies of the informal property market within the University and internationally, including drafting reports, manuscripts, and research grants applications, and conducting research and development (R&D) with the social sector and authorities.  Enquires can be sent to Dr. Lennon Choy (e-mail: lennonchoy@hku.hk).
