Full time fixed-term opportunities to 31 December 2024, you can base yourself in either of JCU’s tropical locations of Townsville or Cairns and enjoy all that these locations have to offer.
As part of JCU’s Academic Plan 2018-2022, a priority project to establish student-centred, dynamic, inclusive and engaging learning experiences for diverse students in virtual learning environments has commenced. With a distinct focus on co-designing and co-developing curriculum and assessment to facilitate effective and engaging digital learning, the project will enable the University to meet our objective of making a difference to learning and life in the Tropics.
What you can achieve
Be at the forefront of educational design in the co-design and co-development of subjects and assessment by providing support and high-level expertise to academic staff. Advising on the integration of various learning technologies to support digital learning whilst providing support to embed curriculum priorities at JCU, you will focus on an enhanced student digital experience in learning and provide opportunities to build staff digital capabilities.
Working collaboratively with discipline academic staff and the Associate Dean of Teaching and Learning, this role utilises academic knowledge, skills and application experience to support the selection of appropriate technologies and designs to create dynamic and engaging learning experiences for our highly valued students.
What you will bring
Your postgraduate qualifications in Education or Education Technologies coupled with your extensive experience in teaching in the academy and innovative integration of learning technologies in higher education (or equivalent) will provide the required platform to succeed in this role. Your experience in project management, scholarship of learning and teaching, and curriculum reform will enable you to deliver high quality outcomes for our students and academics.
